Résumé
Introduction. The hypereosinophilic syndrome is defined by excessive high levels of eosinophils in peripheral blood, that can lead to organic damage. The diseases associated to this syndrome mostly include: allergic diseases, parasitic diseases (being toxocariasis one of the most important), connective tissue diseases, malignancies and immunodeficiencies. In the present paper we report a patient in which the main clinical signs for clinical approach were: fever, pallor, eating of earth and hypereosinophilic syndrome. Case report. The patient, a 2 years old female infant, used to have contact with dogs, birds and chickens. Her history of present illness was characterized by fever until 40 centigrades above 4 months, pallor above a month, and eating of earth above 6 months. In the physical examination the main findings were generalized pallor, unique anterior left cervical adenopathy, liver at 5 cm from the right rib edge, and spleen at 3 cm form left rib edge. The laboratory tests reported anaemia, leukocytosis, and eosinophilia. We realized a bone marrow aspiration, seric immunoglobulines, abdominal CT scan, parasite detection serology, and coproparasitoscopic evaluation of 3 samples. Finally, we got the diagnosis of larva migrans visceralis due to toxocariasis, because of diffuse hipodense hepatic lesions in abdominal CT scan, and a positive serologic quick test for Toxocara canis (ELISA), after that we started the therapy with albendazol at standard dosage and we obtained e
